I would like to find out train routes available from Shenzhen to Qiqihaer
or
Guangzhou to Qiqihaer

Soft sleeper or Deluxe soft sleeper rates

Travel dates around 16 or 17th June 2008

How can I book tickets and pay by credit card?

Hi, no direct train available from Shenzhou / Guangzhou to Qiqihaer, you need to change trains at Beijing.

T16 Guangzhou -> Beijing West RMB 705 for Soft sleeper
T47 Beijing -> Qiqihaer RMB 511 for Soft sleeper
K39 Beijing -> Qiqihaer RMB 554 for Soft sleeper

You can buy ticket at train station or offcial ticket agents. Sorry I have no info about booking tickets online or with credit card.

I would like to know if any train goes to Luoyang, Henan province. I will be in Beijing and could either travel from Beijing to Luoyang or take the train from Beijing to Xian and then a train from Xian to Luoyang.
Thanks!

Hi, there're trains go to Luoyuang from Beijing or Xian.

K269 Beijing West -> Luoyang
K618 Xian - > Zhenzhou, stops at Luoyang

Also there're more trains you can take from Beijing or Xian.

We will be arriving in Beijing at 20.10 (airport) on 16th June and would like to take the train down to Hong Kong as soon as possible. Can you book tickets instantly? We could take a taxi to Beijing West and believe there is a train No.K105 to Shenzhen at 23.59. Would the ticket office still be open and would there be any chance of getting a soft sleeper? Do you think we would have to wait until the following day. Has anyone any information on accommodation near to Beijing West station. Any information before 3rd May would be appreciated. Thank you.

The ticket window opens 24 hours a day and you have a few chance to get a soft sleeper ticket. I think you would have to wait until the day you got train ticket if you decide to take train to Hongkong from Beijing. You could have a try to search for the information of hotels near to the train station.

Hi.
I plan to travel through China after the Olympics. We're starting out with 5 days in Shanghai in late Aug, then 5 days in Beijing, then Xi'an and on from there.
What I wanna know is whether or not it's possible to get tickets on night trains from Shanghai-Beijing and Beijing-Xi'an with this short notice (4-5days). Where can I get them and/or can I have them sent to my hostel? Are there any good sites for booking tickets? and also approximately how much should I pay for soft sleeper on the mentioned trains?
Thank you so much for any info regarding this =)

When you are in Shanghai you could have a try to ask the bussiness center of your hotel to booking tickets ( Shanghai - Beijing, you could do the same when you are in Beijing).

Shanghai-Beijing 499 RMB
Beijing- Xi'an 417 RMB

Thank you, I'llbe staying at a hostel though. Do they usually have this service in China?

Also on another note I heard the visa application rules changed on April 14th. Now apparently you need to have a verified hotel booking when applying. Do you have any further info. on this matter?

Thanks again =)

Mostly they have the service in China and it's the simplest way to purchase train tickets for foreigners. However if they have not, you can try to find a travel agent near you and ask them for the service. If you still failed you have to find a train ticket agent office or go to train station to purchase the tickets.

Sorry I have no info about visa application.

Hi Ken,

I´ll be in August in China with my girlfriend. We want to travel by train from Beijing to Suzhou. Which train do you recommend us T63 or Z85? What is the price for a soft sleeper in each? Are there Deluxe-soft berths for to in any of the trains?

Thanks
Santi
